William W. Bewley, 81, of Bailey Court Apartments, a well known Anderson resident, died at 6 A.M. Saturday in a local nursing home after several years illness.
Mr. Bewley was born in Union, Nov. 28, 1887, a son of the late W. D. and Emma Whiteside Bewley. He had been a resident of Anderson for the past 30 years, and prior to retirement was a salesman for a large flour company. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors: widow, Mrs. Vivian Hand Bewley of Anderson: a foster son, Charles B. Jones of Anderson; one brother Hale Bewley of Dallas. Texas three sisters, Mrs. William W. Goforth of Staunton, Va., Mrs. Fred D. Felkel and Mrs. Theo L. Burriss of Anderson.
Final rites will be conducted at the graveside in old Silver Brook Cemetery at 2:30 P.M. Sunday with the Rev. M. L. Harkey Jr. officiating.
The body is at Sullivan King Mortuary.
