SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR EMIL ABRAHAM, 81
Funeral services for Emil G. Abraham, 81, longtime Janesville resident amd retired farmer were held Saturday from the Trinity Lutheran Church, Smith's Mill, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. E. Vornhof officiating. Internment was in the Janesville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alfred Miller, charles Stankey, Arthur Stankey, Charles Quade, Arthur Bevins and Arthur Linde. Mr. Abraham passed away early Thursday, Jan 12, at the Immanuel Hospital in Mankato of a heart attack, following a week's hospitalization.
Emil Abraham, the son of Gottlieb and Louise Abraham was born Nov 3, 1879 on a farm near Smith's Mill. On Dec 20, 1905 he was married to Henrietta Quade in Janesville.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter Gladys, Janesville; as son Wayne, Smith's Mill, and four grandsons. Also surviving are three brothers, John, Smith's Mill; Gust, Elbow Lake; and Louis, Dent; and two sisters, Elizabeth of Kasota, and Emma of St. Clair.
Relatives and friends attending the services were from Janesville, Smith's Mill, Wheaton, Elbow Lake, Dent, St. Clair, Mankato, Lake Crystal, Mapleton, Kasota, Matawan, St. Peter, New Ulm, Elysian, Austin, Faribault, Waldorf, Minnesota Lake, Wells, Eagle Lake, Minneapolis, Waterville, Madison Lake and Waseca.
