Dartmouth Gazette (Hanover, NH), Sep. 1, 1813, p. 3:
DIED]---At Lebanon in N. Hampshire on the 26th ult. Col. EDMUND FREEMAN in the 77th year of his age.---Descended from reputable parents in Connecticut, he came in early life, and was one of the first planters in the town of Hanover. Through the revolutionary war, was firm and zealous in his country's cause ; and as occasion called, discharged with reputation the duties of the soldier and the officer. With distinguished uprightness and integrity, as an [sic] husband, a father, a citizen and a civil magistrate, he commanded respect and esteem ; and to these, his religious virtues gave a pleating lustre. An early professor of the Christian Religion, and in his faith firmly established on that as the only foundation of hope. His profession he ever appeared to adorn by a life of duty and Godliness. The House of God was the place of is resort and delight on the sabbath. He lived to a good old age, and has come to his grave as a shock of corn cometh, in his season. His faith in the Redeemer gave him confidence, triumph and elevation at the approach of death---And now dead, the feelings of his numerous connections and acquaintance, will respond " The memory of the just is blessed."

Salem Gazette (Salem, MA), Sep. 7, 1813:
In Lebanon, (N H) Col EDMUND FREEMAN, aged 77, a zealous revolutionary patriot, and a highly respected citizen, magistrate and christian.
