She was born Feb. 13, 1916, at Centerville, a daughter of Roscoe Layfayette and Matte Frances Glick Wise.
Prior to retirement, she was a teacher in the Rockingham County school system for 33 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Garland Warren Wine, whom she married June 20. 1946, and who died Jan 10. 1974; and one brother, Orville G. Wise.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie W. Propst and her husband, Sheldon K., of Bridgewater; a son and daughter-in-law, Roscoe Wine and his wife. Virginia, also of Bridgewater: two sisters and a brother-in-law, Olive Forbes and her husband, Nathaniel of Stuarts Draft and Violet J. Wise of Oak Hill Nursing Home, Staunton; six grandchildren, R. Duane, Laurissia and Melinda Propst, Garland R. and David N. Wine and Terry W. Anderson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Michael's United Church of Christ, with the Revs Thomas Arner and J. Harry Hall officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson's Funeral Home.
