Olive Hope Wise Forbes, 90, Stuarts Draft, died Jan. 15, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. Forbes was born in Centerville on March 12, 1912, and was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Mattie Glick Wise.
She was a retired English teacher and taught for 10 years at Elkton High School and for 31 years at Waynesboro High School. She was a member of St. Michael United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Three Ridge Garden Club, Stuarts Draft, and was currently serving as treasurer.
On June 27, 1959, she married N.H. "Nat" Forbes, who survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Violet Joy Wise of Oak Hill Center in Staunton, and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Thomas Arner will conduct a graveside funeral 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Michael’s United Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends in the social hall following the service. The casket will be closed.
