Helen Diedrich, 79, of Weyauwega, died there unexpectedly Friday.
Miss Diedrich was born Feb. 9, 1903 in Hilbert, daughter of George and Magdalene Zimmermann Diedrich.
She served as a priest’s housekeeper to the Rev. William J. Rickert for 23 years at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spruce, Wis., at Holy Angels Church in Darboy, and at St. Mary Catholic Church, Oshkosh, and was presently serving in the same capacity at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Weyauwega.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Marx of Hilbert, and Sister Odila, SDS, St. Mary Covent, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
A funeral Mass was held at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega. The Rev. William Rickert, officiated. Burial was in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, in Hilbert.
A second funeral liturgy was held Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert. The Rev. Anthony Birdsall, pastor, the Rev. William Rickert, and other visiting clergy officiated.
