Mr. Baggott died Tuesday in Lexington County Hospital.
He had lived in West Columbia for the past 27 years and was formerly of Columbia. He was born in Haygood, near Camden. He was a retired machinist with Columbia Pacific Mills and a son of the late Andrew Judson and Ella Francis Golson Baggott.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Pattie Hair Baggott, a daughter, Mrs. Faye (Carl) Baggott Young of Columbia, three sons, Walter Conroy Jr., and Thomas A. Baggott of West Columbia and Lewis A. Baggott of Columbia, three sisters, Mrs. Eva Ford, Mrs. Mary Lubeake and Mrs. Daisy Cox of Columbia and 11 grandchildren.
