WEST COLUMBIA SC - Walter C. Baggott, Jr. of West Columbia went to be with His Lord and Savior on December 8, 2017. Walter was born in Columbia SC on December 13, 1928 to B. C. and Pattie Elizabeth Hair Baggott. After graduating from Dreher High School in Columbia, SC Mr. Baggott enlisted in the US Navy and served a world tour as a plank owner on the USS Toledo CA-133. He was a printer, salesman, and reprographic consultant throughout his career. Mr. Baggott was a devout believer serving in various capacities for His Lord and Savior. Mr. Baggott was married to the late Mildred Joan Bailey Baggott for almost 55 years. He was an adoring father to four daughters: Amy Robison (Rob), Jane Senn (Randy), Sarah Timmerman (Ken) and Laurie Cummings (Peter). He was lovingly known as Popa/Poppa to eight grandchildren: Kelley Muse (Matt), Kyle Senn (Meg), Lesley Shearer (Daniel), Amanda Senn, and Kaitlyn, Evan, Larkyn and Brynnan Timmerman. God gifted him with three great-grandsons: Gavin and Locke Senn and Hudson Muse. He is survived by his sister, Faye Young (Gene). He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and Lewis.
