Jessie was the daughter of Frank Meyers and Sarah C. Free. On July 23, 1906, she became Mrs. Eli Andrew Countryman. Her children that survive her include:

• Mrs. Harry Penwell, Greenfield
• Mrs. Nellie McBee, Bainbridge
• Mrs. Geneva Washburn, Washington C. H.
• Mrs. Ada Wilkin, Lynchburg
• Mrs. Josephine Faulkner, Dayton
• Mr. George Countryman, Greenfield
• Mr. Lawrence Countryman, Bainbridge
• Mr. James Countryman, Pomona, California

Two sisters:
• Mrs. Charity Phillips, Greenfield
• Mrs. Florence Penwell, Chillicothe

One brother:
• Harley Myers*, Greenfield

Jessie was the grandmother of twenty-six children and great-grandmother of nineteen.

Two grandchildren preceded her in death; Jessie also reared them—they were:
• Mrs. Shirley Hill, Peebles
• Mrs. Beverely Rowe, Hillsboro
