Geneva Countryman Washburn, 90, of Washington Court House, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 9:52 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at her home while surrounded by her loving family.

Geneva was born December 31, 1925, at the family home on Route 50 near Bainbridge in Ross County, Ohio to Eli Andrew and Jessie Myers Countryman. She lived most of her life in this community.

In her younger years, she had worked at the shoe factory in Greenfield.

She loved flowers, especially her roses. Geneva was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Ashton Rowe; her parents and nine siblings, Dora Penwell, Ada Wilkins, Nellie McBee, Curt, Lawrence, William, George, James and Herb Countryman.

Geneva is survived by her loving husband, Fay Junior Washburn whom she married February 12, 1945; their children, Jimmie Wayne Washburn, Rebecca Rowe and her husband, Larry E., and Tonya Tuttle and her husband, Jerry, all of Washington Court House; four grandchildren, Brian (Teresa) Rowe of Washington C.H., Scott (Melissa) Rowe of Belgrade, MN, Dawn (Allen) Dawson of Washington C.H. and Mindy Willis of Sabina; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Faulkner of Valdosta, GA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Eleanor Priest, Ann and Merrill Kaufman, Bonnie and Richard Benson; several nieces, nephews and her extended family, Kathy Barden, Diane Matticks and family and many other good friends, neighbors and her little pug dog, Tiffany.

The funeral will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with her nephew, Marlyn Penwell and Hospice Chaplain Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
