Store Proprietor Had Been In Business In Village For Over 25 Years
Hugo Rahn, 53, for over 25 years, engaged in the general merchandise business at Reedsville, died Sunday at his home in that village. He had been in failing health for the last two months.
Coming to Reedsville in 1906, Mr. Rahn opened a general store there.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Reedsville, in charge of Rev. Koch of the Lutheran church.
The deceased was born at Jackson, Wisconsin, in 1879. He was married in 1904 to Miss Bertha Haese and two years later located at Reedsville, where he since resided.
Besides his widow he is survived by two sons, Hugo Rahn, Jr., and Karl Rahn, two brothers Julius and Gottlieb and seven sisters, Mrs. Albert Woldt, Mrs. Charles Wendt, Mrs. M. Lemke, Mrs. Peter Falck, Mrs. Marx Falck, Mrs. John Kalieba and Mrs. Charles Heft.
The death of Mr. Rahn has caused universal regret at Reedsville and in the surrounding territory, where Mr. Rahn had become well known by reason of a quarter of a century of business associations.
