Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 1994, at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Rev. Robert Kujawski will officiate with burial in the Westside Cemetery, Reedsville.
She was born May 11, 1919, in Reedsville, daughter of the late Adolph and Laura Reinke Rusch. She married Waldemar Behnke August 8, 1937, in Reedsville. She farmed with her husband until 1969 when they moved to Reedsville. Lavida enjoyed rug weaving and painting. She was a life-time member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville and the Reedsville Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene and Dennis Evenson, Valders, Carol and Greg Brehmer, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Debbie Goehring, Clarks Mills, Gail McCulley, Valders, Dale and Dan Brehmer, Green Bay; five great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Gwen and Karl Olp, Manitowoc; one brother and sister-in-law, Helmuth and Evie Rusch, New Holstein; many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, September 7, 1986, also by an infant son.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, from 6-9 p.m. Friday and on Saturday at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville, from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
