Lillian Bubolz, age 89, of 209 S. Fifth St., Reedsville, passed away on June 21, 2004 following a brief illness.

She was born May 4, 1915 in the town of Rockland, daughter of the late Richard and Anna (Bessert) Reinke. On Oct. 14, 1939, she married Harvey Bubolz at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. Lillian farmed with her husband on the family farm until her retirement. She was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville, the Ladies Aid and the Reedsville Senior Citizens. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Lillian is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Carol (Don) Klitz of Markesan; a son and daughter-in-law: Roger (Carol) Bubolz residing on the family farm at Reedsville; seven grandchildren: James Bubolz and his wife, Gloria, of Reedsville; Angela Kenneke and her husband, Tim of Collins; Jonathan Bubolz and Amy Bubolz, both of Reedsville; Ann Klitz, William Klitz and Donald Lucas Klitz, all of Markesan; five great-grandchildren: Alexander and Claire Bubolz; Justin, Courtney and James Kenneke; and a sister-in-law: Malinda Bubolz. She was preceded in death by her husband: Harvey on April 12, 1996; an infant grandson: John Bubolz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Raymond (Helen) Bubolz; Dr. Herbert (Ruth) Nicholas; Henry Bubolz; and Arnold and Hildegard Maertz.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2004 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville, with the Rev. Timothy Nommensen officiating.

Burial will be in the Westside Cemetery in Reedsville. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville, from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2004 and then at the church on Friday from noon until the time of service.
