Raymond R. Bubolz Sr., 82, of 440 Birch Lane, Reedsville, died Saturday, January 12, 1991, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John-St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Rev. David Kipfmiller will officiate with burial at Westside Cemetery.
He was born May 30, 1908, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Henry Bubolz and Anna Behnke Bubolz Bessert. He married the former Helen Fischer on April 25, 1929, in Reedsville. She preceded him in death July 9, 1964. Mr. Bubolz farmed in the Town of Rockland until retiring and moving to Reedsville in 1975. He was a lifelong member of St. John-St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. He was a member of Reedsville Senior citizens. Mr. Bubolz was a former member of the church board and held various offices in the church. He was a former member of Reedsville Co-op Board of Directors and also Rockland Town Board.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Henry Behnke, ValJean and Peter Link, all of Reedsville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Joanne Bubolz, Raymond Jr. and Suzanne Bubolz, all of Reedsville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Nicholaus of Lake Forest, Illinois; a half sister, Hildagard Maertz of Reedsville; two brothers, Harvey and Henry F., both of Reedsville. He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister.
Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Monday and from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday and then at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
