Elmer A. Prochnow, 72, of Reedsville, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital, Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at SS. John & James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. The Rev. Harlyn Kuschel will officiate with burial in Westside Church Cemetery.
Mr. Prochnow was born Feb. 24, 1904, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Gust and Emelia Voeltz Prochnow. Mr. Prochnow was in the retail meat and grocery business his entire life. He married Gertrude Mahnke June 14, 1925, at Reedsville. He was a past member of Reedsville Village Board and SS. John & James Church Board.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude, three sons, Harland, Carlos and Terry, of Reedsville; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Pearl) Bernard, of Reedsville, Mrs. Al (Gloria) Vigil, of Brookfield and Mrs. Gerald (Marlene) Liebergen, of Iowa city, Iowa, and 18 grandchildren. Five brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home, Reedsville, from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from noon Thursday until the time of service.
