Mrs. Otto Bessert, 74, of Rt. 1, Reedsville, died unexpectedly Thursday evening at home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John and St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. The Rev. Harlyn Kuschel will officiate and burial will be in the Westside Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Bessert, nee Esther Krepline, was born Aug. 20, 1897, in the Town of Rockland, daughter of the late Louis and Hulda Mahnke Krepline. She was married to Otto Bessert March 1, 1917, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins. They farmed in the Town of Rockland. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 6, 1956.
Survivors include a son, Harry, of Rt. 1, Reedsville; three daughters, Louise and Adeline, at home, and Mrs. Clarence (Ella) Luedtke, of Rt. 1, Reedsville; a sister, Mrs. Bernard Reinke, of Collins, and four grandchildren. Six brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday and then at the church until the time of service.
