Albert Prochnow, 67, well known mason contractor, died suddenly last night at
his home in the village of Reedsville. He was stricken with a heart attack
shortly after he retired.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Reedsville Cooperative
funeral home and at 2 o’clock at the SS. John-James Lutheran church in the
village. Burial will be in the west cemetery in Reedsville.
Mr. Prochnow was born in Rockland in 1880 and had been a resident of Reedsville
42 years, where he was engaged in the contracting business.
In 1903 he married Miss Emma Brandt. She survives with a daughter, Mrs. Arthur
Haberlein of Reedsville; mother, Mrs. Amelia Prochnow of Newton; four brothers,
Gustave of Chilton, Charles of this city, William of Newton and Elmer of
Reedsville; five sisters, Mrs. Ida Schwabe of Brillion, Mrs. Charles Schneider
of Collins, Mrs. William Toebe of Green Bay, Mrs. Martin Erickson of Valders and
Mrs. Albert Reimer of Sheboygan; and two grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
