Mrs. Anton Olp, native of Manitowoc County, died Tuesday at the homestead in the town of Rockland after suffering a heart attack.
The funeral will be on Saturday from the home, and from the SS. John –James Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold Eckert officiating. Burial will be in the Reedsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Olp the former Albertina Engelbrecht was born in the town of Cooperstown on March 1, 1870. She was married to Mr. Olp on Feb 3, 1888 in the St. John Evangelical Church at Cooperstown and six years ago they observed their golden wedding. After their marriage the couple moved to Milerd, South Dakota, where they remained for two years. They returned to this county and located at Reedsville where Mr. Olp was employed at the Noble saw mill. They later rented a farm at Silver Lake and in 1893 purchased their first farm several miles northeast of Reedsville. In 1920 they bought the home where Mrs. Olp died.
Besides the husband survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Louis Rabenhorst of Milwaukee, Mrs. John Maertz and Mrs. Leonard Maertz of Reedsville and seven sons, Arthur of Morrison, Arwin of Fond du Lac, John of Brillion, William, Walter, Herman and Harold Olp of Reedsville; 29 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Charles Habeck of Manitowoc, Mrs. Fred Nicholson of Reedsville, Mrs. Charles Sch????, Two Rivers and three brothers, Herman of Two Creeks, William and Philip of Maribel.
