Olp was born May 20, 1909, to Anton and Albertina Engelbrecht Olp in the Town of Franklin, Manitowoc County. He married Dorothy Strebe, and she died in 1954. On June 8, 1963, he married Louise A. Klabuhn in Fond du Lac. He was a member of the Church of Peace and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 270. He owned and operated Shorty’s Pure Oil Service at Court and Main Streets. After selling he worked for Automotive Sales and Service until his retirement in 1977.
He is survived by his wife Louise; two sons; one daughter; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Arthur and Harold Olp, Reedsville, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Moertz, Reedsville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, one daughter, three sisters and five brothers.
