Roy Phares, 77 Dies; Last Rites Planned
Denison - Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in Bratcher Funeral Chapel here for Roy Phares, 77, of Clarksville, a native of Sherman and former Denison resident, who died Sunday noon in Clarksville after a 10 year illness.
Rev. Darold Baldwin, pastor of Epting Memorial Baptist Chruch, here will conduct the services. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Chapel at 7:30 pm Monday.
Mr. Phares was born Mar. 7 1885 ( year in question), the son of Mr. & Mrs. C. B. Phares. In 1903, he married Miss Lula Bow in Sherman. He was a member of the Baptist Chruch.
Survivors are a son, Jack Phares, of Denison; a daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Millaway of Clarksville; three brothers, Rance,Hubert and David Phares; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Sims and Mrs. Gertie Silos both of Sherman; and six grandchildren.
