Esther and Emmett Jeffrey raised Royse Lee Wilson since he was 18 months old after his mother Genevra died of TB . Genevra was Esther's sister. So Royse was raised by his Aunt. His father Albye Wilson was not able to raise a baby on own in El Paso.

We called her Nanny . My dads mother Genevra died of tb she was sister to Esther . Esther snd Emmett raised my dad since he was 18 months old . Albye his dad in El Paso Tx wasn’t able to raise him.
