John B. Sullivan was born at Mayfield, Kentucky, on August 9, 1901. He was the son of John F. Sullivan and Elmina Boaz. On October 16, 1926, he was married to Bernice Prendergast at Rock Island, Illinois.
John worked for the Burroughs Corp. for 23 years and then operated his own adding machine sales and service business. He died at St. Anthony's Hospital on December 16, 1968. Funeral services were held at St. Pius X Church in Rock Island.
He was survived by his wife, a son and a daughter, and one grandchild. He was also survived by his brother Harmon and two sisters, Linda Wyatt and Esther Jeffrey.
