Barry, 67, a retired coal miner and well known as director of the Barry Orchestra, comprising eight other members of his family, died this morning at his home in Eckhart after and extended illness. He was born in Ireland and came to the United States 46 years ago. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Clara (Smith) Barry, (sic-she died in 1932) nine sons and two daughters-John T., Akron O.; Sgt. Charles M. Barry, Camp Rucker, Ala.; Pvt. 1st Cl. DeSales F. Barry, overseas; Lawrence A. Leo J. and Joseph P., Frostburg; William E., Eckhart; James P., Frostburg; William E., Eckhart; James P., George R., Mary and Loretta, at home. There are three surviving brothers in Ireland-Patrick, Edward and John, and a sister in England, Mrs. Charles Davis."
