Mrs. David (Viola) Cline, 62, Vesper, was pronounced death on arrival at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, after suffering an apparent heart attack. The Rev. Clarence Witte will conduct funeral services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper.
The former Viola Duchow was born June 14, 1906, in the town of Fremont (Clark County) where she also received her education. Her marriage to David Cline took place Aug. 21, 1924 at St. John's Lutheran church in Nasonville. The couple operated a farm in Clark County until 1942, when they moved to Manitowoc. Two years later they moved to Vesper and had lived there since.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Doris) Finup, Nekoosa; three sons, George and Robert Cline, both of Wisconsin Rapids; Miles Cline, Eau Claire; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John (Hattie) Steltenpohl and Mrs. Kenneth (Edna) Morrison, both of Marshfield; and a brother, Leonard Duchow, Pardeeville. She was preceded in death by two infant children and a sister.
