ANNIE C. KREBS, widow of Levi T. Krebs, died at her home Dec. 22nd, 1941, after a lingering illness, ten weeks of which she was bedfast.
Her earthly pilgrimage lasted 77 years, 7 months, and 29 days.
She was a life long member of Stone Church where she served her Lord devoutly and devotedly. Her husband was the capable leader of the choir until his untimely death early in life. She was a faithful member of the choir for twenty-five years. Friend of all the pastors, her home was ever open to them and their families. Her place in church was always occupied. For faithfulness, I can think of none who excelled her. Your pastor knew her as a close friend and neighbor all his days, and your pastors father knew her as such for thirty-seven years. Every remembrance of her is pleasant to me. The influence of her life will live on.
She is survived by her son Edwin K. Krebs, present leader of our choir, a granddaughter, Mrs. Claude Rohrbaugh, three great-grandchildren, brothers William F. and John F. Krebs, and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral was held Dec. 27, with a short service at the house, and a concluding service in Stone Church where many gathered in her memory. Your pastor officiated and was assisted by Pastor Yoder of the Reformed Charge. Her body was laid to rest in the Old Cemetery at Stone Church.
