Isaiah Grant Arthur, 78, of 707 Sixth Avenue North, resident of Great Falls for 38 years, died at a local hospital this morning after a five days' illness.
Arthur was born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Nov. 7, 1868, and in 1886 moved to Iowa, where he became manager of a creamery. From there he came to Cascade in 1906, where he also managed a creamery and helped pioneer the dairy business in Montana. In 1907 he won a Montana State Fair silver cup for exhibiting the state's finest butter.
In 1908, 1909, 1910 Arthur was deputy state dairy commissioner. The family moved to Great Falls in 1909.
