He is survived by his daughter, Donna Boone of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his son, Keith Taylor of East Grand Forks, Minnesota. His brothers are deceased: Marvin Lee Taylor, David Eugene Taylor, and Olen Junior Taylor. His two surviving sisters are Mary Gerene Mann of Arizona, and
Dovie King of Oregon. His sisters that are deceased are Virgie Goodnight of Salinas, and Tilese and Dorna Taylor of Wynne, Arkansas. His mother and father are Maude Irene and Wiley David Taylor natives of Arkansas, but Maude lived in Salinas, California for many years until her death in 1971. Ray left behind six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
