Merle "Red" Taylor was a fiddle player at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN for 40+ years. He played with Jimmy Dickens, Ferlin Huskey, Ray Price, Hank Williams, Faron Young, Cowboy Copas, Bill Monroe, Carl Smith, George Jones, Jimmy Martin, Elvis Presley, Gordon Terry and many others. He was also a song writer/singer. He wrote the Music to Uncle Penn.
