Mrs. Laura Mae Estes Dies
Six Weeks After Husband


Mrs. Laura Mae Garnett Estes, 72, Norwood, died Thursday, December 14, at Jewish hospital, Cincinnati, where she had been a patient 17 weeks.

A native of Owen county, the daughter of William and Susie Garnett, she was the widow of Charlie Estes, who passed away November 3, 1978. She was a member of the Norwood Baptist Church.

Survivors are a son, Leon, Norwood; two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Stamper, Cincinnati and Mrs. Lois Jean Messersmith, Michigan; three sisters, Mrs. Opal Mason, Madison, Ind., Mrs. Anna Belle Estes, Owenton and Mrs. Eloise Rose, Hanover, Ind.; two brothers, Lebus Garnett, Owenton and Jack Garnett, Madison; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Norwood December 18 with burial in the Owenton cemetery.Informational note: Norwood in the obituary refers to Norwood, Ohio, which is adjacent to Cincinnati. Also, the last name of one of the daughters, Lois Jean, should be spelled "Messerschmitt."
