Estella E. CLEMANS, 75, Portage, died Thursday in Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso. She was born Jan. 7, 1911 in Dayton, Ohio to Rev. Harley W. and Janette McKINLEY FRANKLIN. She was a former resident of Fulton. On Dec. 26, 1941 in Garyton she married Dee L. CLEMANS, who died in 1975. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, the Portage Christian Women's Club, the Fulton Eastern Star and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. She taught second grade at Crisman School of the Portage Township school system for 12 years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Jennie M.) RHOADS, Portsmouth, R.I..; a son, James D. [CLEMANS], Portage; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Bernie) PEYTON, Portage; Mrs. James (Frances) HORNER, Indianapolis, and Mrs. George (Naomi) HINSHAW, Oklahoma City, Okla. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Rees Funeral Home Olson Chapel, Portage, with the Rev. Samuel L. KLOPFER officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Olive Community Cemetery, Fulton. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
