January 17, 2008Frances F. Franklin Horner 95, of Franklin passed on January 15, 2008. She was born July 27, 1912 in Wabash, IN. Frances had been a 60-year member of Roberts Park United Methodist Church and active in many Christian women's groups. She retired after 29 years as a 5th and 6th grade teacher at IPS Frances Willard School 80 in Broad Ripple. She graduated from Indiana Central University (now U of I) in 1938. Survivors include her husband, James M. Horner, whom she married June 29, 1941; her son, Frank (Jean) Horner; daughter, Rita (Steve) Brown; her grandchildren, John (Erin) Stuckey, Ryan Horner, Eric (Miyuki) Stuckey, Marc (Kristi) Stuckey, Jana (Bryan) Willman and Angela Fox; great-grandchildren, Gavin Stuckey, Avery Stuckey, Lucas Stuckey, and Cash Willman. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 18 at Roberts Park United Methodist Church, 401 N. Delaware Street with calling there from 9:30 a.m. until time of service A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Dixon Chapel Cemetery, near Ft. Ritner, Indiana. G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Women, 401 N. Delaware Indianapolis, IN 46204.
