Edward W. Snow, Sr.
Edward Winfield Snow Sr., of Clayton, died Wednesday November 27, 2002 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital. He was 82.

Mr. Snow was born December 21, 1919 in Manchester, Conn., the son of the late Thomas Chafey Snow and Georgia Lillian Broga Snow.

Mr. Snow was a farmer all of his life, working for Harvey Cole of Middletown. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Snow in 1997 and a daughter, Annabelle Alexander n 2001.

He is survived by four sons, Edward Snow Jr., of New Castle, Steve Snow, of Smyrna, Jimmy Snow, of Hartly, and Harvey Snow Sr., of Clayton; five daughters, Mary Cole, of Dover, Lillian Alexander of Warwick, Avis Knotts of Kenton, Stella McGinnis of Felton and Katherine Bland of Smyrna; one brother, Sid Wiley of Becket, Mass.; three sisters, Jean Stenico and Mary Rock, both of Chester, Mass., and Abbie Trudell of Westfield, Mass.; a grandson he raised, Harvey Snow Jr., of Dover; 28 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.

Services were held Monday Dec. 2, in the Smyrna Wesleyan Church, Smyrna.

Burial was at the Delaney's Church Cemetery near Blackistons.
