Researching ancestors in the rural areas surrounding Duck Creek Hundred, Delaware and Eastern Shore, Maryland has been challenging. Years ago, all I had to start with was names and dates on headstones. Of course, those discoveries only led to the next brick wall and cemetery road trip.
Many memorials I have created were surnames requested by others or of interest because they were part of my ancestor's communities.
Thanks to all who have provided corrections and additional information for memorials. Duplicates occur when cemeteries are merged or a memorial is moved or modified. Often, this occurs when obituaries stating services will be private are used to create a memorial and someone later adds the cemetery. Unfortunately, there is no activity log to track changes and I delete my submission as duplicates are reported.
If I've created a memorial for another person's family member, I'll be glad to transfer it to them. Use the online 'Edit' tool for corrections / additions and transfer requests.
