Mr. Kercheval retired in 1984 after 33 years as a machinist for Delco Remy, Anderson. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was born May 28, 1932, in Kirklin to Everett Withrow and Lucille Payne Kercheval.
Surviving are four sons, Bruce A. of Monticello, Larry J. of Michigantown, Roger L. of Kirklin and Rodney L. of Kenduskeag, Maine; three daughters, Brenda Kerr and Melissa J. Gilhausen, both of Jacksonville, Fla., and Melinda D. Jobe of Kirklin; three brothers, Morris T. of Sheridan, and David L. and Paul R., both of Kirklin; a sister, Mary E. Carlile of Kirklin; and eight grandchildren.
A sister preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Kercheval
Funeral Home, Sheridan, with the Rev. Jesse Jackson
officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin.
