She was born January 1, 1938, in Appalachia, Virginia, to Arvel and Juanita Trent Lester.
Surviving are her mother of Frankfort; four sons, Larry J., Rodney L. and Roger L., all of Kirklin and Bruce A. of Monticello; three daughters, Melissa J. Gilhousen and Melinda D. Jobe, both of Kirklin, and Brenda D. Kehr of Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One brother preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2002, in Green Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Elizabeth Swank officiating. Calling will be 11 a.m. - noon, Tuesday, October 7, 2002 in Kercheval Funeral Home, Sheridan.
