James LeRoy Patterson, oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Patterson, was born in Richland Center, Wis., February 1st, 1924, and died Thursday August 29, 1929, ages 5 years, 6 months and 8 days. He died at the Wisconsin General Hosptial at Madison, Wis., following an operation.
Jimmy lived with his family here in Richland county all of his life except for the past year when the family have resided in Manchester, Iowa.
Jimmy was a child with an unusually happy and cheerful disposition and because of this has always been called Sunny Jim. His life here was short but because of his sunny ways he made a large circle of friends.
He leaves to mourn his untimely passing his parents, a sister, Betty Lou, and a brother, Richard, his grandparents and several uncles and aunts.
Funeral services were held Sunday morning from the Fancy Creek Presbyerian church and burial made in the cemetery adjoining.
