"Wales lived on the estate by the cemetery, and had charge of burials for a long time. He was commissioned as captain in 1810; served on the board of selectman in 1811, 1819, and 1826. He married in 1806 Thankful Bullard (55), who died in 1807, with her only child. He married, second, in 1809 Sarah Bullard (52), who died in 1828; third, in 1829, Lucy Morse of Walpole, who died in 1849. He died in 1851."
