She married Dale F. Chomel on 24 December 1942 in Connersville. They had a daughter and a son. She worked for more than 20 years as a Teacher's Aide in the Fayette County School System. She also attended the St. Gabriel Church and was a member of the Fayette Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
