Margaret Jane Oliver was the last of seven children born to Zebulon Oliver and Margaret Jane Wells. Her mother died when she was just a few months old. After her mother's death she lived for some years with her grandparents, John Eli and Barbary Wells. She married Gilbert David Sides. They had four children:
Rhodia Jane Sides born in 1901
Phoebe Jane Sides born in 1904
Edgar "Jack" Sides born in 1912
Annie B. Sides born in 1910
At the time of her death in 1973 she was a widowed housewife, age 90 years old, residing in Kennard, Texas.
