SALUDA - Mary Faith "Mickey" Irick Addy died on Wednesday, May 24, 2012, at her home in Saluda. She was born July 1, 1922 in Elloree, SC to Frances Elizabeth. and Edward Francis Irick. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1943 with a degree in Biology, the Medical University of South Carolina as a laboratory technician and later from Lander with a degree in Education. She married Frank E. Addy, October 7, 1947 and they were married 54 wonderful years. She was an avid Gamecock fan. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Koontz and a brother, Edward F. Irick. She is survived by her beloved sister, Esther Sample and sister-in-law Mitylene Irick. She is also survived by her three children, Mary A. Ellis (Neil) of Columbia, Frank E. Addy Jr. (Oreita) and Robert C. Addy of Saluda. Other survivors are her beloved grandchildren who knew her as "Meme". They include Mary Faith Todd (Jonathan) and Matthew Ellis of Columbia, Christopher Ellis of Charleston, Roland and Christian "'Buck" Addy of Saluda, Lee Pryor (Sarah) of Myrtle Beach, two great grandchildren, Griffin Ellis and Cort Pryor and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a spirited, loving Southern lady. Services will be held at The Chapel in the Woods in Batesburg, S.C. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Travis Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made the Travis Park Cemetery fund, P.O. Box 458, Saluda, SC 29138. The family would like to thank the Tri-County Hospice, who assisted in her care.
