Eva Rudfelt Klason of Lewiston, a retired Toro Manufacturing employee, died of Emphysema Thursday at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center at Lewiston. She was 73.
She was born Oct. 24, 1920, at Broadwater, Neb., to Harold W. and Ada Mae Hosley Forge.
In 1921, the family homesteaded near the Deer Creek mines in the Salmon River area.
After about three years, they moved to Winchester, where they lived until moving to Clarkston in the late 1920's. She graduated from Clarkston Hight School in 1939.
That year she moved to Lewiston, and was employed as a filing clerk by Consolidated Freight Lines.
In 1961, she moved to the Riverside, Calif. area, where she worked for the Toro company, which manufactures lawn sprinkler products.
In the early 1970's she moved to Windom, Minn., where she continued her work for Toro until retiring. She returned to Lewiston in the early 1980's.
Three marriages ended in divorce.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Rudfelt of Lewiston and Mike Rudfelt of Victorville, Calif.; a daughter, Susan Wendelsdorf of Spirit Lake, Iowa; two sisters, Genevieve McLeod of Springfield, Ore. and Elsie Webster of Lewiston; three brothers, Bud Forge of Yakima, Ernie Forge of Quincy, Wash., and Walt Forge of Lewiston; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Two grandchildren died previously.
Cremation will be followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home at Lewiston.
