Harold W.(Hal) Forge, 70, died at 11:15 a.m. yesterday at his home, 1130 Boston Street, Clarkston. Death was caused by a heart ailment. He had been in ill health lately.

Mr. Forge was born at Ilfield, Sussex, England, October 3, 1887. He moved to Canada in 1904 and lived there, at Seattle and in Montana before settling at Winchester, Idaho in 1909. He married Ada Mae Hosley there November 26, 1911 and the couple moved to Clarkston in 1925.

Mr. Forge worked on construction of the lumber mill on Clearwater Timber Co., now Potlatch Forests, Inc. plant at Lewiston and was employed with the firm until his retirement in 1952. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the White Piners Assn. of PFI.

He is survived by his wife, at home; three sons, Harry of Clarkston, Walter of Lewiston and Ernest of Quincy, Washington; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Webster and Mrs. Eva Angelo of Lewiston, and Mrs. Genevieve McLeod in Japan; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Merchant Funeral Home, Clarkston.
