According to the History of New Bedford, Edward Milliken was born in Scarboro, Maine, in March, 1733, and died at the home of his son Nathaniel in Buxton, Maine, about 1812. He was one of the grantees of Trenton, Maine, in 1763, with his father, Justice Milliken, but remained at the homestead in Scarboro until 1805, then went to Buxton. He married, May 23, 1754, Elizabeth Harmon, of Scarboro, who bore him ten children: Nathaniel, Rebecca, Hannah, Jerusha, Edward, Abigail, died young; Abigail, Anna, Joseph, and Dorcas ; all born in Scarboro.

According to History of the families Millingas and Millanges, Edward Milliken, sixth son of Edward, was b. in Scarbro, Mar. 5, 1733-4. He m. May 23, 1754, to Elizabeth Harmon in the same town. He was a grantee of Trenton, Me., in 1763. He lived on the homestead farm in his native town, where he remained until about 1805, when he removed to Buxton and lived with his son Nathaniel until his death, about 1812. He was buried in an old graveyard on the fence line which now divides the farms of Henry Hill and Henry Hews. He was called "Skipper Ned," and was, I suppose, in early life, a seaman. His family consisted of eleven children, of whom with 5th generation.
