Mrs. Runkle was a homemaker. She was a member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau and attended the Americus Union Church. She enjoyed sewing and playing bingo..

Surviving is a son, Joseph D. "Joe" Runkle of Lafayette. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Charles W. "Bill" Runkle, 4 sisters, a grandson and his wife, Martin L. Runkle and Tina Hammond..

Visitation is Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, from 11 a.m. until the service there at 1 p.m. Pastor Dan Gottschalk will officiate. Internment E.U.B. Cemetery, Colburn..
