Miss Dell Spencer Dies at Age of 88
Miss Dell Spencer, 88, a resident of the Christian Buehler Memorial Home for the last 21 years, died there at 6 p. m. Sunday.
A Peoria resident since 1920, Miss Spencer was born in Henry County, Sept. 25, 1865. She was a daughter of Henry Wilson and Caroline Brace Spencer. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church.
Surviving is one sister, Miss Mae Spencer, also a resident of the Buehler Home. Two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Guass Mortuary Chapel, with Dr. A. R. McLaughlin of Union Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery at Galva. Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
