Miss Phebe Spencer Dies at Peoria Home
Miss Phebe Brace Spencer, 79, an early-day resident of the Elmira community and a citizen of Peoria for the past 45 years, died at 2:15 Tuesday afternoon at the Buehler Memorial Home in Peoria. She had been in ill health for about two years.
Miss Spencer was a cousin of Mrs. Florence Kinney and Frank and George Brace, of this city.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the Gauss mortuary chapel in Peoria.
Interment will be in the family lot in Galva cemetery.
While living in Peoria, Miss Spencer was a worker for many years in the enterprises of the Bacon Memorial mission where she served as teacher for some time.
