LAST OF EARTH.
Last night, at 9:30, at the residence of her son, 21 Cherry street, Mrs. Sarah Van Valkenburg, departed this life, from old age, being 87 years and 7 months old. The funeral will be held at the house tomorrow afternoon, at 3 o'clock, Dr Cobett officiating. Mrs. Van Valkenburg leaves eight children, five boys and three girls, to mourn her loss, as follows: Cornelius, John A., and Dan. Van Valkenburg, Mrs. Maria Westfall, Mrs. Catherin Ashley, Mrs. Sarah Hendrickson, Mrs. C. Bodine, Mrs. Wm. Kitchen.

The deceased moved to this place from Columbia County, New York, in 1857, and has reared a family of eight children, two of whom are John A. and Daniel Van Valkenburg, of this city.
