My beautiful Grandmother. She was such a special lady. As a very young child she came with her family from Germany. Her family settled in Iowa.

After her family moved to Wisconsin, she
lived with her brother and his family for a time. While her brother Henry was a State Representative for Iowa, she worked as a
typesetter in the Newspaper Office he owned.

She later moved to Wisconsin, where she met my grandfather, John and so began their love story. They worked so hard on their farm, while raising 7 children. My grandma was a wonderful cook and baker. She always had a dish of lemon drops in the house, and to this day I still love that candy.

She loved writing letters and wrote 5 of her children that moved away every week. She loved keeping a diary, and kept one all her life. Miss her so very
much....Her 21 grandchildren carry on her legacy...

If my mother were here, she would tell you that the person I take after the most is my Grandma Tews...

Thank you Erwin for sponsoring my grandma's memorial. Your kindness has touched my heart...
