Malas, Mrs. Mary
MADISON — Mrs. Mary Malas, age 94, of 121 E. Gilman St., died at her home after a brief illness on Sunday, October 19, 1986. The former Mary Hron was born on February 9, 1892, in Czechoslovakia and was a Madison resident since 1921. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She was married to Nicholas Malas who preceded her in death on October 5, 1966. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marion Reader of Almond, Wisconsin; two sons, James (JoAnn) Malas and John J. (Anna) Malas both of Madison; a sister, Mrs. Christina LaMont of Madison; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at HOLY REDEEMER CATHOLIC CHURCH on Wednesday, with Father Bruce Hennington officiating. Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME.
