Charles J. Hron Sr. died last Wednesday, July 2 at his home in Beaver Dam following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Murray Funeral Home and at 9:00 a.m. from St. Peter's Church, with the Rev. Raymond Miller officiating. Burial was made in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. Mr. Hron was born August 9, 1898 in Watertown. He was married December 5, 1919 to Rose Lillie Sievert in Sun Prairie. He had resided in Sun Prairie from 1919 to 1939 and in Beaver Dam since that time. Survivors, besides the wife include six daughters; Mrs. Lyle (Doris) Edmunds of Beaver Dam, Mrs. Keith (Mary) Pierce of Arizona; Mrs. Merline (Jane) Keyser, Mrs. Gordon (Rosemary) Smith, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Hiley and Miss Patricia Hron, all of Beaver Dam; two sons, LaVerne and Charles Jr. both of Beaver Dam; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Henry of Madison; four sisters, Mrs. Nick (Mary) Mallas of Madison, Mrs. Fred (Elizabeth) Franks of Sun Prairie, Mrs. Cecil (Emily) Hawley of Madison, and Mrs. Ben (Christine) LaMont of Endeaver; and several nieces and newphes. He had been employed by the Kiekhaefer Corp. and was a member of St. Peter's Church in Beaver Dam.
